Fruit Trees in the Desert

DATE: Saturday 4/5/25   TIME: 10:00am - 11:00am

Throughout landscapes in Tucson, local gardening expert, Michael Ismail encounters the same issues on repeat. Issues that lead to stressed out fruit trees that waste water, give poor yields, and often eventually die, or fail to ever really thrive. Join Michael of Thrive and Grow Gardens for this class on fruit trees where he will cover all of the common planting mistakes, proper irrigation and soil care techniques, pruning, varieties, and more!

Class Capacity 24 – Register Early!

Instructor - Michael Ismail

Michael grew up on a homestead in the desert and has been helping people grow food in their backyards in Tucson for the past 11 years. He creates resource guides, videos, and classes to help simplify and demystify gardening in our climate. He also builds raised garden beds, plant protection enclosures and covers, as well as irrigation products, all designed to make abundant gardening more achievable in the Sonoran Desert climate.
