Create bold and stunning floral designs using Pilot Precise V5 water-soluble pens in this single session class designed to get your creative juices flowing! We’ll explore techniques to simplify what you observe into stylized line drawings. Our subjects will include desert wildflowers like Mexican poppies and desert lupine. Option to bring your own blank watercolor paper notecards and draw your flowers into Mother’s Day cards!

2B graphite pencil, eraser, and sharpener
140 lb watercolor paper (such as Strathmore)
size 9-12 round watercolor brush (soft hair, like Taklon)
cup for water
rag or paper towels
Saraiya Kanning is a Tucson artist with a passion for animal subjects. She works across multiple mediums, including ink, watercolor, and silk painting. Saraiya’s art is often characterized by bold, vibrant colors and stylized mark-making. When teaching, she seeks to make art enjoyable and accessible to all.
No refund will be issued less than 15 days prior to any Community Class. A $10 cancellation fee will be applied to all refunds. No refunds will be issued for special events. We reserve the right to cancel Community Classes due to insufficient registration, garden closure, or inclement weather, in which case, participants will receive a full refund.
