2025 TBG 6-Part Docent Training Academy

Interested in becoming an ambassador for the Gardens?
TBG Docents are trained volunteers who help visitors connect with and learn about the place they are visiting – the Gardens, the Tucson area, and the Sonoran Desert ecosystem.
Docent Requirements
- Have an active TBG membership and have volunteered for a minimum of 6 months.
- Attend all docent trainings (a six-part training in person and additional training via Zoom.
- Commit to an average of 10 volunteer hours per month at the Gardens (including leading tours, greeter shifts, special events, classes, trainings).
- Participate in continuing education opportunities
